Weathered Pair of 19th Century English Carved Sandstone Garden Planters

Weathered by the passage of time, this pair of antique sandstone planters has a lovely organic rustic charm.  Both circular, not an exact match, but would make a perfect addition to a curated garden space.  The visible hand carved chisel marks give these a distinctive sense of age and artistry.

Measuring 19/22 inches across, these circular planters would have once been used as small water troughs, primitive in design and construction, now bearing the beautiful marks of their age, the planters’ aged sandstone surfaces and softened carves give them a sense of timeworn character and authenticity, with an original patina of moss and lichen.

In excellent condition given their age, and structurally sound.  Both have a small central drainage hole.
