A pair of Hunter Safari lounge chairs designed in the 1960s by Norwegian Torbjørn Afdal for Bruksbo.  Theses designer piece have stood the test of time, very desirable, both stylish and practical offering a great look and feel to a room.  This pair boasts a rich burgundy brown soft leather in superb condition.  The strong distinctive wood frame and a deep dark colour to it which sits perfectly against the leather.  Canvas backed with weave design holding the leather cushions to the frame.

In excellent original condition.  The chairs have had brand new handmade leather Armrests to match the the originals which were broken, this is a common wear feature on these types of chairs, so these new ones are ready for another 50yrs of service.  Some patina to the leather and a few age related wear to the tops of the wood frame (see photos), we prefer to keep our items looking authentic to avoid loosing the character of the pieces.

Seat Height = 40cm / 16inch

Torbjørn Afdal (1917-1999) was a Norwegian furniture designer. He graduated from the state Crafts & Art industry school in 1946 and at once worked at the design office Tegnekontoret Bruksbo AS.
