A very solid (and heavy) 19th century French Oak table with superb character. An incredibly old piece, dates to circa 1840, and boasts all the age and character you could ever want in an old farmhouse table. Features a four-plank top, with an unusual configuration of 8 drawers (4 each side), all retaining their original matching handles. Another key feature is the unusual square fluted legs which are joined by a central stretcher.
The planked top has gaps and knots, and the top has a wonderful bow to it which is part of it’s charm and authenticity. The table is structurally very sound, as expected it has some wear and tear including signs of legacy woodworm and primitive repairs, however the table is in very good solid condition.
Please note that the table does not come apart therefore please measure carefully to make sure it will fit through any tight spaces. Benches are representative only and are not supplied with the table.
