A superb Victorian Walnut and Boxwood inlaid Breakfront Cabinet in original unrestored condition.

Having a boxwood inlaid frieze with bellflower trails, over a central recessed panel cupboard door, inlaid and flanked with ormolu mounts. it features an ebonised edging detail around the top edge and plinth which provides definition and contrast against the warm walnut tone.

The original red velvet interior has a wondaful faded, worn and aged feel to it, including ripped areas that simply add to its charm and authenticity. The central door opens to a single shelf, flanked on either side with a glazed doors opening to two further shelves, all raised on a plinth base.

There are some small losses of Vanier around the base plinth (bottom right and back right corner) but nothing that distracts from this statement piece.

All locks are in working order with keys.
