Ref: GD1531 Category:

An exquisitely hand-painted mid 20th century Burmese occasional table, believed to have been purchased near Rangoon in the early 70’s, this finely painted table has an intense colour with meticulously painted figures covering the entire surface.  A black ebonised lacquered base with vibrant blue, yellow and red colourway, it is an exceptional piece.  The paintings are of oriental architecture with floral design and figures, most likely of Buddhist connotation, perhaps depicting Sanskrit tales.

Octagonal top, with matching base,  the top is removable with folding hinged base.

In excellent overall condition, with very minor losses and some fading on the lacquer at the base of the legs.

A superb statement piece that can add a splash of colour and vibrancy to a room.
