Designed by renowned Swiss architect and designer Robert Haussmann for the prestigious Swiss furniture maker de Sede in 1957. The ‘DS-201’ model features Haussmann’s iconic cube-like form, which has become a classic mid-century modern design.

The solid steel frames finished in gleaming chrome beautifully complement the time worn tan leather upholstery.  Presented in completely original, unrestored condition, the supple tan patinated leather provides a wonderful authentic aesthetic that can only be achieved through time worn use.

Crafted in Switzerland in the 1960s, the exceptional De Sede quality is a testament to the maker of these enduring design pieces. These chairs exemplify Haussmann’s mastery of form and materials, striking a perfect balance between modern, cubic styling and ergonomic functionality.  The gently curving, geometric backrests and seats envelop users in superb comfort and exceptional support. Importantly, the seat rests on a cantilever, heavy chrome base that gives the units a more open and transparent visual appeal.

They are in good original condition, time worn marks and scuffs to the leather (see photos) which provides a lovely overall patina, we have purposely not restored the leather to keep its authentic colour and look (often leather pieces can be over restored and loose their authentic charm).  The chrome bases are in excellent order with very few blemishes.
