1960s Vintage Pure Welsh Wool Tapestry Blanket in Autumnal Brown and Green

A large king size vintage Welsh wool tapestry blanket measuring 242cm x 217cm+fringe

Crafted from pure Welsh wool and presented in excellent condition.  Known for their exceptional quality and craftsmanship, this example has an earthy brown and green colourway with hues of pale reds and salmon-pink, creating a warm autumnal feel, these traditional woven blankets are double sided, which provides interest and texture, and the versatility to change the colour tone by simply turning over.

Baring its original label, made in Brynkir Woolen Mill , Brynkir mill was originally a corn mill and was converted to a woollen mill in circa 1850, an original water wheel mill which was one of the last surviving in Wales.
