These striking armchairs were designed by renowned Swiss architect and designer Robert Haussmann for the prestigious Swiss furniture maker de Sede in 1957. The ‘DS-201′ model features Haussmann’s iconic cube-like form, which has become a classic mid-century modern design.
Crafted in Switzerland in the 1960s, the chairs boast Haussmann’s signature sculptural aesthetic. The gently curving, geometric backrests and seats envelop users in superb comfort and exceptional support. Importantly, the seat rests on a cantilever, heavy chrome base that gives the units a more open and transparent visual appeal.

This pair boast the DeSede ‘Exclusiv’ makers mark which denotes that these were a special order, most likely due to the quality/grade of the leather.
They are in very good original condition, some wear marks to the leather and a lovely overall patina, we have purposely not restored the leather to keep its authentic colour and look. The chrome bases are in good order, a few areas of loss where the chrome has worn but overall they are in excellent order for their age.
